Population Demographics are published in the Decennial Censuses, which the Thompson Library houses on the second floor.  They are also available in part online as PDFs.  Economic/Business Demographics, while contained in part in the Decennial Censuses, is more likely to be contained in the Economic Census published every 5 years since 1967.  Prior to 1967, it was conducted in 1963, 1958, and 1954, with earlier versions being collected and published piecemeal.  The State Library of Ohio, a full depository library for federal documents and the Regional Depository for the State of Ohio, has a wide range of economic census data for business and industry.  They are located at 274 1st Avenue, 614-644-7051 (Research Services).  Parking is free.

Other data may exist, depending upon your exact research need.  Please contact the Subject Librarian for the field you're working in for expert help tailored to your needs.

The Library owns a series of proprietary census databases that will in theory allow you to create custom tables for selected variables including race by county, etc.  The data can be saved to an Excel spread sheet.  The data bases can only be mined for about 200 data points at a time.  The database is available for In-house only M-F 12-5.
