How can I statistically compare one set of numbers to a second set of numbers for the purpose of determining if they agree and support each other? The first set of numbers was generated by a computer modeling program, and the second set was generated by an on-site field evaluator. Each set of numbers use the same 1 to 10 value scale. Pearson or Spearman? Statistical significance? My data sets consist of 14 numbers each (below). I need a yellow brick road, layman’s explanation on how to conduct this statistically analysis; even better your statistical analysis & evaluation of the data.
These are the numbers:
If you are using a specific software for statistical compatison (like SPSS, SAS, etc.), you can probably find some suggestions in their help files or web sites.
If you have additional questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We can advise on some resources to use, but cannot do the analysis ourselves.
