The cost to file for a trademark depends on your filing basis and the number of 'classes' of goods and services you want covered. The USPTO maintains updated fee information and discusses it on its "How much does it cost?" page. There can also be additional fees for things like completeness of the application, etc. More information on trademark fees can be found on the USPTO's "Trademark fee information" page. Do bear in mind that fees are generally not refundable, which is part of why people often do careful background research and make sure to file a complete application with a strong mark.
