It might be a good idea to start with a literature search. You could search the library catalog for books on the subject, or conduct a search in the Business Source Complete and/or EconLIT databases. There are also some other resources that touch on this topic, namely:
- The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis has a Financial Crisis Timeline
- They also have a list of articles and papers covering the 2007-2008 financial crises
- A paper published in the American Economic Association - 'From Financial Crash to Debt Crisis' (2011) made replication data available in ICPSR.
