We do have some resources that might be useful to you! If you're looking to found your own startup, you might want to check out the Entrepreneurship LibGuide. If you're interested in researching other startup companies, the databases most likely to be useful are:

  • CB Insights - If you go to the 'Advanced Search' you can search for companies formed in the past year, or for funding rounds, etc.
  • Preqin - Very similar information an search functionality as compared to CBInsights, but the two databases have different coverage, so it's worth looking into both.

Finding information on private companies, especially early stage and startups, is very challenging, so you might also want to look into local business news for any articles that have been written on the new company.

If you would like further assistance with this research, please reach out to the Business & Economics Librarian.
