There are a couple of open resources for information and data related to mortgages:

  • The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) website includes statistics on current and historical mortgages and the monthly Housing Market Index publication.
  • The European Mortgage Federation website includes access to the European Mortgage Markets Quarterly Review; if you're looking for information on mortgages outside the US this might be a possible resource.
  • There is also data available on a variety of related topics via the Bloomberg terminal (located in Mason Hall rm 147). The Bloomberg data mainly focuses on financial related to things like CMBS, but also includes some foreclosure data and other related data point.
