There are many places you can go to research elements involved in impact investing, so please consider the following resources as the beginning of a longer conversation we could have on this topic:

  • If you're looking for a general introduction to the concept of impact investing, the Global Impact Investing Network has a webpage that discusses what impact investing is, the elements of impact investing, etc.
  • If you're looking for information on ESG related to a particular company your best bet is probably Morningstar. You can search for an equity by ticker symbol or company name and these reports have a sustainability risk assessment section.
  • The Eikon database includes a 'Deal Screener' tool wherein you can specify criteria for equity issues, for instance, including things like whether or not an issuer is a certified B corporation. They also have ESG data for particular companies, mainly their own ratings for a wide variety of metrics.

Please reach out to the Business & Economics Librarian if you would like to discuss this research further.
