There is actually an entire section of the Libraries' Entrepreneurship Guide devoted to social entrepreneurship.  Generally, social entrepreneurship is associated with startups that aim to directly address social, cultural or environmental issues, as well as make a profit.  There are special certifications such companies may choose to pursue, and sometimes startup funding set aside specifically for these ventures.  If you would like to learn more about resources the Libraries has to further explore this topic, please contact the Business Librarian.
