Q. Where can I look up a company’s ticker symbol?

If you search in the Mergent Online database by company name, the company ticker symbol will be in parentheses next to the name (both in the list of search results and on the company profile page).  It is worth mentioning for any research covering an expanded time period, that ticker symbols can change, and even be re-used by different companies over time.
